The performance of thoracic vertebral bone mineral density (TBMD) in identifying osteopenia and osteoporosis in population one. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was calculated for identification of osteopenia (A) and osteoporosis (B). The threshold was 128 mg/cm3 and 91 mg/cm3. Then we identified osteopenia and osteoporosis using the two thresholds. Kappa test showed good agreement in identifying osteoporosis between TBMD and lumbar spine BMD (kappa = 0.80) (C)
