Inclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria

Older adults aged ≥ 65 years living independently at home

Severe vision impairments that do not permit the reading of the exercise-programme booklet and that do not permit the completing of the monthly diaries

Able to walk without mobility aids in their home

In physiotherapy treatment that trains balance

History of fall in the previous 12 months or perceiving fear of falling (≥ 20 points [98] on FES-I [63])

Cognitive impairment (< 24 points [99] on the Minimal Mental State Examination [100])

Good understanding of the Trial language (French or German)

Contraindication given by the referring physician
