Table 1 Study eligibility criteria for the MOBILIZE Boston Study

From: The MOBILIZE Boston Study: Design and methods of a prospective cohort study of novel risk factors for falls in an older population

Inclusion criteria

Age ≥ 70 years (or age ≥ 65 if living with an MBS participant)

Able to understand and communicate in English

Plans to be in area for 2 years

Able to walk 20 feet without personal assistance (walking aids permitted)

Exclusion criteria

Terminal disease

Severe vision or hearing deficits

Cognitive impairment (Mini-Mental State Examination < 18)[27, 28]
